In a shared data plan like By the Gig, each line starts with 1 GB for $20/mo. Each additional GB is $5. Additional GBs of data are shared between all By the Gig lines on the account and are accrued by the GB. Once a full GB has been used, another is automatically added to the account.
You can see your data usage on your Spectrum Mobile online account or through the My Spectrum app. Select the "Activity" tab to view your data usage details.
Connect your phone to your home's WiFi to use Spectrum Internet instead of cellular data. If you are not at home, you will be seamlessly connected to Spectrum Mobile's out-of-home WiFi.
Data usage accrues by full, single gigabytes.
After you use a full gigabyte, another is added directly to your account for an additional $5. If you are concerned about your data usage, you can switch to Unlimited at any time through the My Spectrum app.
No, data sharing is limited to By the Gig plans on an account.

Activation
A one-time activation charge of $20 for each device.
Eligibility
A residential or business Spectrum Internet account is required before signing up for Spectrum Mobile. If a Spectrum Internet subscription isn't maintained, an additional $10 per-line monthly charge to Unlimited and Unlimited Plus plans will be applied.
Auto Pay
Auto Pay is required for Spectrum Mobile service. All Spectrum Mobile payments will be charged automatically to your credit or debit card on file. We don’t accept cash payments for Spectrum Mobile service.

Equipment
Sales tax is charged for any devices or accessories purchased through Spectrum Mobile. Applicable taxes on equipment sales are billed separately. Taxes are based on the full price of products purchased and must be paid in one up-front payment, regardless of whether items are being paid in full or on an installment plan.
Tablets
Tablets require separate data plans, regardless of any other existing phone plans on your account. Voice and text services are not included for tablet devices.
